Ark. native Ne-Yo becomes record exec at Motown
UNDATED (CNN) -- R&B singer Ne-Yo is making a big move. Several news agencies report he's taking his Compound Entertainment label imprint from Def Jam Recordings over to Motown Records.
And that's not all. He's also reportedly been named the senior vice president of Artists and Repertoire for the famous label.
That means he'll be in charge of finding and developing new talent for the company.
Ne-Yo tells Billboard he's honored to be given such a prestigious title and to be trusted with such responsibility.
Ne-Yo was born in Camden, Arkansas in 1979.
